West Sussex Manor House
Cultivating inspiration from the existing architecture as well as the surrounding landscape, creative director, designer and curator, Harriet Anstruther reenvisioned the house’s existing structure to fully celebrate its authenticity.
Intention defined each room as Harriet considered the cohesive connection and division between kitchen and pantry. A focus on human interaction and functionality was where she drew these spaces together to create a narrative that fitted into her over-arching interest in the push-and-pull of opposites. Part of this hinged on the unconscious process of identity, privacy, memory and storytelling; the PLAIN ENGLISH wardrobes in Harriet’s dressing room held all these and more.
