Set in a contemporary building – this NYC pied-a-terre for existing Plain English clients in NYC who wanted to feel “at home” when they were abroad in America. An organised design of Spitalfields cupboards wraps either side of the City Aga, a one burner version of the famous, homely cooker. A peninsular island is economical in design, washing up on one side and open storage in raw oak on the other. Stools pull up for casual conversation and chrome latches and pulls are a nod to the urban setting. A wall cupboard shares the shadow of its contents, behind reeded, glazed doors, allowing a sense of what is within without the need for constant styling.
