Hope House
Designing a kitchen that will sit underneath exposed trusses in an interior that is whitewashed and expansive gave ample opportunity to imagine various layouts and outcomes. Here, Spitalfields cupboards with Wilkes doors intersect with the horizontal lines of tongue and groove boarding and are connected, visually and literally by two parallel open shelves. An Osea island with a Belgian Blue Fossil Stone worktop holds the centre of the space and works to both anchor the area with its bright colour and balance the technical structure above.
