Delft by Plain English

The study of form, function and provenance underpins all of our work and inspires Delft by Plain English – five collections of handmade, hand painted tiles inspired by antique Delft originals from Katie and Tony’s archives. Historically, Delft tiles were practical additions to the house as well as being a popular form of folk art, depicting anything from mythological beasts and ancient stories to bawdy scenes of everyday life. Delft by Plain English reflects these classic themes in the spirit of visual storytelling. Our first five collections include:
